About Me
I created Transformative Cities to answer a question that kept surfacing in my work: What kind of people do our environments help create?
My background is in architecture, environmental design, and cognitive science. I’ve worked across Europe and China, from fast-paced design studios to public-sector projects. I’m also the co-founder of Urban Future Global Conference, Europe’s largest event on sustainable cities.
Today, my focus is on helping cities use the built environment more deliberately—to shape behaviour, attention, and social life. Transformative Cities is a framework that turns scientific insight into design tools—practical enough to guide small decisions, deep enough to reframe how we think about urban life.
Most of this work happens late at night—when my children are asleep, somewhere between quantum mechanics courses and the next yoga pose.
